Members of the Brothers of Hammer motorcycle club watch as the balloons take to the wind Sunday at “Stop the Violence” at Strabane Square, South Strabane Township. Vinnie Kelley, the victim of a shooting outside the Giant Eagle at Strabane Square in June, was a member of the club. The event was attended by a number of community members who had been affected by violence, including the family of Vaughn Simonelli, who was shot in October 2012 in the parking lot of Shop ‘n Save in Washington. Denise McNerney, mother of Timothy McNerney, the Washington & Jefferson College football player killed in an altercation in October 2012, and members of the W&J football team also attended the event.

The event was attended by a number of community members who have been affected by violence, including the family of Vaughn Simonelli, who was shot in October 2012 in the parking lot of Shop ‘n Save in Washington.
