KITTANNING (AP) – State police identified a Western Pennsylvania man who has been jailed on charges he first shot a gun at a trooper who responded to a 911 call by the suspect’s wife.
Troopers from the Kittanning barracks said the defendant is Thomas Luketic, 58.
Troopers went to the man’s Rayburn Township residence after the call just after 9 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Luketic was upset that his wife had called police and was ready for police when they arrived, firing a shot in the general direction of a trooper about 50 yards away. The trooper wasn’t hurt.
Officers say they later seized guns, ammunition and drug paraphernalia from the home.
Luketic remained in the Armstrong County jail Monday, unable to post $100,000 bond on aggravated assault and reckless endangering charges.
