UNIONTOWN (AP) – Police have charged a defense attorney with bringing heroin and other drugs to his client, while the client was locked up in Fayette County’s booking center.
Police charged 34-year-old Uniontown attorney Brian Salisbury Thursday night after they say a surveillance camera showed him passing the drugs to a client who was in custody on a bench warrant.
Police say the client told them he is an addict and prearranged to have Salisbury bring him drugs, so he could avoid withdrawal sickness while incarcerated.
Salisbury didn’t immediately return a call for comment Friday.
He’s free on bond pending a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
