PITTSBURGH (AP) – Authorities in Western Pennsylvania said a man has been arrested in a Pittsburgh shooting that critically injured a 92-year-old jitney driver.
Twenty-four-year-old Jason Haddock of Pittsburgh faces three counts of attempted homicide and aggravated assault as well as felony weapons counts.
Police said another car pulled up to the jitney and opened fire about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Homewood section of the city. Two passengers weren’t injured.
A police spokeswoman says investigators believe an unidentified man in the front seat was the intended target, not the elderly driver.
The driver was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, where his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.
Court documents don’t list an attorney for Haddock; a message left at a number listed for him wasn’t immediately returned.
