I love how our Father uses various people in the Bible as examples of courage and strength. I especially love it when He uses women. Some don’t agree with the fact that God uses women but I love it. Since my Ordination at the Church of God in Houston, Pa., by a wonderful man in whom we all loved, named Rev. Walter Cherry, Sr. in the early ’90’s I’ve had some very negative connotations my way as well and they are still coming in. But my God fights all my battles and actually, it’s a chance to pray for people. To all of you ladies (and men as well) who feel called in some way by God, my word to you is: Answer it! You’ll love it. God is a good Father, no one has to call CYS on Him, that’s for sure.

I’ve found that there are many people who are still living under the Law and have forgotten that we are now living by God’s Grace, thanks to Jesus Christ who died on that old, rugged Cross, we are all free.

Galatians 3:24-29

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

When I think of female courage and strength, my mind goes automatically to Deborah the Judge in the Book of Judges and Jael the woman who helped Israel win over the king of Caanan by driving a nail into the temples of Israel’s enemy, Sisera. As graphic as that sounds, it happened and yes, it was a woman who finished the war for Israel.

God has His hand on women as well as men. He uses whomever He wants. Gender has nothing to do with it.

Judges 4, Verse 15 tells us of how God’s Divine Hand had already ‘discomfited’ Sisera and his chariots. Let’s take a look at the word “discomfited”:

embarrass, abash, disconcert, discompose, discomfort, take aback, unsettle, unnerve, put someone off their game, ruffle, confuse, fluster, agitate, disorient, upset, disturb, perturb, distress; chagrin, mortify; informal faze, rattle, discombobulate.

Notice the word “discombobulate”. It makes one wonder how many times God’s Divine Hand has ‘discomfited’ your enemies without you knowing it. You’d be surprised. God is always good. Sometimes it may seem that He is taking a long time to answer your prayers and desires but He remains good and He has your back Child of God.

There is a true story about a girl who was very pretty but very shy. A group of boys were talking one day about what they could do to embarrass (discomfit) this girl. One bold boy stepped up and nastily said, “I’m going to have my way with her when she walks home tonight from her friends house.” He had planned to rape her. The next day, his friends asked him in school, “Did you do it man?” The boy said, “No!” They asked “Why not?” The boy said, “She had her brothers with her.” They said, “Brothers? She doesn’t have any brothers!” He said, “Well, whoever it was there were about 4 of them and they were huge! I wasn’t going to even try to deal with that!”

Someone leaked this to the girl that the boy had plans to rape her but he was afraid that night because of her company. She was horrified at the news and was glad that they alerted her, but said, “Wait a minute! I didn’t have ANYONE with me last night!” Once again, God had His Divine Hand over her by sending angels to watch over her as she walked in the night.

Know who you are !

Psalm 91:9-14

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Luke 4:10-13

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

No matter what is going on in your life know that God sees and hears your heart and will give you your hearts desire. If it seems that He is taking a while to get to your request, don’t stop talking with Him and have patience, he made clocks only for us. He operates on His own time and not according to Timex. If it took someone as loving and kind, wise and true as Daniel 21 days to receive his answer from prayer, it will take us some time as well. (Please see: Daniel 10:12, 5:11-14.)

Evil entities are in the atmosphere trying to fight the angels who God sends your answers through. Hang on, it doesn’t take too long. Don’t give up. After all, Satan only took ? of the angels with him when he went against God. Your ? angels are fighting Satan’s ? demons, (2 to 1) plus you have the Name and Blood of Jesus to fight your battles…..guess who wins? YOU! If some of our loved ones who have gone on before us would have only waited one more day, they WOULD have gotten victory over those evil whispers and directions of ill-intent. I tell you today to be strong and of good courage and take your life day by day, waiting on the Lord.

Isaiah 28:9-10

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
