WPIAL football camps began this week, but you do not get the sense the season has truly started until two teams line up against one another. Finally, that time is almost upon us as the first of two preseason scrimmages are set for Saturday. Here’s a list of every local team’s scrimmages and a couple intriguing ones across the district.

Ringgold at Baldwin, 10 a.m.

Peters Township at Montour, 10 a.m.

Seton-La Salle at Canon-McMillan, 10 a.m.

Trinity at Moon, 10 a.m.

McGuffey at Elizabeth Forward, 10 a.m.

Uniontown at Washington, 10 a.m.

Burgettstown at Yough, 10 a.m.

Chartiers Valley at South Fayette, 10 a.m.

Albert Gallatin at Waynesburg, 10 a.m.

Sto-Rox at Bentworth, 10 a.m.

Brownsville at Carmichaels, 10 a.m.

Charleroi at Beth-Center, 10 a.m.

Frazier at Monessen, 10 a.m.

Tri-scrimmage: West Greene vs. Mapletown at Cameron (W.Va.)

Chartiers-Houston at Springdale, 10 a.m.

Jefferson-Morgan at Fort Cherry, 10 a.m.

*It looks like Avella is only having one scrimmage this year, which is next Friday at Serra Catholic (6 p.m.).*
