JOLIET, Ill. – Charlie White went three-for-three with a pair of doubles as Joliet defeated Washington, 6-1, Tuesday night in a Frontier League game.
Washington (2-2) managed just six hits against three Joliet pitchers, three of which were by David Popkins, who also had a walk to go along with a double.
Spencer Medick earned the win for Joliet (2-3), allowing one run in 5 1/3 innings.
Brandon Hinkle took the loss for the Wild Things, allowing six runs, five earned, in 4 1/3 innings.
The Slammers scored three runs each in the first and fifth innings.
