Peters Township 42, Upper St. Clair 34: Mason Russell (182) pinned Steven Herrera at 2:42 to give Peters Township a 42-34 victory over Upper St. Clair in a Class AAA Section 2B match.

Russell’s pin, which came on the final match of the night, was one of four on the night for the Indians.

Peters Township won four consecutive bouts, which included pins by Colton Jezioro (152) and Brandon Matthews (160).

The Indians’ Luke Mary (170) won a 2-1 decision over Shawn Martin to continue the rally.

Beth-Center 63, Mapletown 18: Four separate wrestlers for Beth-Center pinned their opponents in less than one minute as Beth-Center defeated Mapletown, 63-18, Class AA Section 2A match.

Todd Fischer (138), Jacob Baker (195), Dominic Fundy (220) and Ronnie White (heavyweight) earned the quick pins for the Bulldogs.

Mapletown’s J.T. Hennessey (145) earned pinned Chase Lacy at 3:03.

Fort Cherry 42, Chartiers-Houston 18: Fort Cherry won the first five bouts as it downed Chartiers-Houston, 42-18, in a Class AA Section 1A match.

The early 5-0 run was highlighted by Chase Belsterling (152) earning a pinning Antony Mento at 1:02.

Aaron and Shane McIntyre then won back-to-back bouts at 160 and 170. Aaron McIntyre won an 8-4 decision over Jake Tiatt, while Shane McIntyre pinned Gary Kutch at 4:30.

Boys Basketball

Seton LaSalle 54, Washington 45: A seven-point second quarter hurt Washington as it lost a non-section game to Seton LaSalle, 54-45.

The Prexies second-quarter struggles were taken advantage of by Seton LaSalle, which outscored Wash High 15-7 to take control of the game.

Seton LaSalle (3-1) was led by a game-high 25 points by Jakob Richardson. Michael Digley also had 12 points for the Rebels.

Jordan Swart paced Washington (1-1) with 17 points, while Isaiah Walton finished with 11.

Jefferson-Morgan 61, Beth-Center 46: D.L. Garrett and Jalen Torres combined for 46 points as Jefferson-Morgan defeated Beth-Center 61-46 in a non-section game.

Garrett, who hit three three-pointers, finished with a game-high 24 points. 

Torres had 22 points for the Rockets, who pulled away in the final quarter.

Beth-Center (2-2) was paced by 10 points from Andrew White.

Devin Stoneking also had 12 points for J-M (3-1).

Girls Basketball

Kiski 58, Monessen 22: Harley Holloway scored a game-high 20 points as Kiski defeated Monessen 58-22 in a non-section game.

The Cavaliers jumped out to a 20-4 lead after the first quarter, while Monessen failed to reach double-digits in any quarter.

Kiski (2-1) also found secondary scoring from Hannah Potter, who finished with 11 points.

Natalia Holmes led Monessen (0-3) with 10 points.
