Brandon Botzer, Trinity High School physics teacher, was recently named a winner of the “Leaders in the Classroom” program. The initiative, supported by Chevron and the Pittsburgh Steelers, recognizes 16 innovative, outstanding teachers throughout Western Pennsylvania. Botzer, one of three winners from Washington County, receives a $1,000 classroom grant and tickets to the December Steelers versus Patriots game, where he’ll join the other winners for an on-field recognition. Pictured, from left, are Trinity High School Principal Thomas Samosky, Chevron public affairs representative Lee Ann Wainwright, Botzer, PA Intermediate Unit 1 Director Charles Mahoney and Trinity Area School District Assistant Superintendent Donald Snoke.
