- The trap and skeet ranges of the McDonald Sportsmen’s Association are open to the public Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., year round. For more information, call 724-796-2271.
- Washington County Department of Parks and Recreationwill conduct a Late Season Flintlock and Archery Deer Hunt Dec. 26 – Jan. 13 in Mingo Creek County Park. A non-fee permit will be required to participate during this late-season hunt. A maximum number of 150 permits will be issued for each day that hunting is permitted. The Parks and Recreation Department will bebin accepting applications Nov. 13. They will accepted by mail only through Dec. 8. Beginning Dec. 11, applications will be accepted by mail or over the counter. All applications received before Nov. 13, incomplete applications, applications marked “all season” or applications that do not include a self-addressed stamped envelope will result in the application(s) being discarded. An application must be completed for each day that you hunt. Applications are available at www.co.washington.pa.us in PDF format. - Mingo Rod & Gun Club on Mingo Drive in Union Township holds membership meetings each third Sunday of the month at 3 p.m. Clubhouse is open Wednesday evenings, 7 p.m. Pistol and rifle ranges of 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards available to members Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-sunset.
