West Allegheny comeback beats South Fayette

West Allegheny forced overtime with a goal in the final minute of regulation and used Evan Blunkosky’s goal in the second overtime to defeat South Fayette 3-2 in the Class AAA boys soccer semifinals Saturday at North Allegheny High School.
South Fayette (14-5-2) will play Chartiers Valley Wednesday in the WPIAL’s third-place game.
The winner advances to the PIAA tournament.
The Lions forged a 2-0 first-half lead over stop-seeded West Allegheny, using goals by Jared Renz at the 26-minute mark and Chad Eldridge off of a WA turnover.
West Allegheny battled back and forced overtime when Nathan Dragisich scored with only 26 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 2-2.
North Allegheny 9, Canon-McMillan 0: Josh Luchini scored four goals as North Allegheny rolled to a 9-0 victory over Canon-McMillan in the WPIAL Class 4A boys semifinals at Mars High School.
North Allegheny (18-2-1) will play Peters Township in the championship game. Canon-McMillan (12-7) had its three-game winning streak end. The Big Macs will play Pine-Richland Wednesday in the third-place match. The site and time have not been determined. The Canon-Mac-Pine-Richland winner advances to the PIAA tournament.
Luchini scored two goals in each half and helped the Tigers forge a 4-0 lead at half.
