Ben Simmons had 20 points and 15 assists as Philadelphia kept up its passing prowess, beating the Charlotte Hornets 119-102 Sunday.

The Sixers set a team record with its ninth straight game of 30 or more assists – they had 36 on their 48 baskets.

• Victor Oladipo scored 30 points, Myles Turner added 24 and the Indiana Pacers rallied to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-104 for their fifth straight victory.
• Rookie Lauri Markkanen scored 23 points and connected on 5 of 8 3-pointers to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 113-94 win over the Washington Wizards.

Bobby Portis had 18 points and hit 4 of 5 from long range, and Sean Kilpatrick added 14 points. Chicago shot 52.4 percent overall from the floor and was 18-for-34 on 3s – matching its season high – as Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg missed the game with an upper-respiratory infection.

Hoiberg returned home before tipoff, leaving associate head coach Jim Boylen to direct Chicago to its second straight win following a seven-game skid.

• LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and 14 rebounds and Rudy Gay added 21 points as the San Antonio Spurs held Houston to its lowest-scoring game of the season, beating the Rockets 100-83.

The Spurs remained fourth in the Western Conference after preventing a season sweep by the Rockets. Houston owns the NBA’s best record.

• Russell Westbrook had a triple-double to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder over the New Orleans Pelicans 109-104.

Westbrook finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists. Paul George scored Oklahoma City’s first 11 points in the second quarter and finished with 27. Carmelo Anthony added 16 and Steven Adams had 14.

• Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw has been released from a hospital following a terrifying fall to the floor during Saturday’s game at Sacramento.

The team also said Sunday that preliminary tests showed McCaw has no structural damage or problems with his nervous system after the freak injury.

Golden State announced that X-rays, a CT scan and an MRI “were all clear.” McCaw was able to leave UC Davis Medical Center.

The second-year pro was taken away on a stretcher after a thud to the court following a foul by Sacramento’s Vince Carter in the Warriors’ 112-96 win.

McCaw, who appeared to be trying to dunk, did a scissor kick in the air over Carter’s shoulder before landing hard on his back. Carter, who was given a flagrant-one foul, knelt nearby as medical personnel from both teams along with Warriors coach Steve Kerr rushed onto the court.

Claude Giroux scored his second goal with 1:21 left in overtime and the Philadelphia Flyers recovered from blowing a late lead, beating the Boston Bruins 4-3 Sunday to inch closer to returning to the playoffs after a year absence.

Travis Konecny added a dazzling goal and an assist, Nolan Patrick also scored and Petr Mrazek made 36 saves for the Flyers. Philadelphia who opened an eight-point lead over idle Florida, the last team that can overtake them for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference – the Flyers have three games left and the Panthers five.

• The Buffalo Sabres say Victor Antipin suffered a concussion and a broken nose when he was boarded during Saturday night’s game against the Nashville Predators.

The Sabres said Antipin also suffered cuts to his face and dental injuries when he was hit by Predators forward Scott Hartnell behind the Buffalo net. Antipin was strapped to a backboard and taken off the ice on a stretcher. He was hospitalized briefly. Hartnell was given a 5-minute major and a game misconduct for the hit.
