Kike Hernandez and Yasiel Puig each hit two-run homers, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals 7-2 Sunday to complete a three-game sweep.

Hernandez’s blast off Stephen Strasburg in the fifth inning put the Dodgers up 3-2. Yasmani Grandal also homered off Strasburg (5-4), who allowed three runs and five hits over 62/3 innings with seven strikeouts.

Alex Wood (1-4) pitched six innings, allowing just three hits and two earned runs. Wood came out to start the seventh, but returned to the clubhouse after showing some discomfort during his warm-up tosses.

Trea Turner homered for Washington, which swept Arizona last weekend and then went five days without playing a full game because of rain before getting swept by the Dodgers.

Atlanta 10, Miami 9: Dansby Swanson’s two-run single capped a six-run ninth inning, and the NL-leading Atlanta Braves rallied to stun the Miami Marlins 10-9.

Ronald Acuna Jr. drove in two runs in the seventh and another in the ninth as the Braves moved 11 games over .500 for the first time since July 5, 2014. Atlanta has won nine of its last 12.

Miami led 6-0 after four innings and 9-4 to begin the ninth. Lewis Brinson’s first career grand slam highlighted a six-run fourth, and Miguel Rojas homered twice and drove in four runs for the last-place Marlins, who have lost three of four.

St. Louis 5, Philadelphia 1: Jack Flaherty struck out a career-high 13 to earn his first major league win and Tyler O’Neill homered as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1.

Making his ninth big league start, Flaherty (1-1) gave up just two hits and walked one in 7 2/3 dominant innings. He also singled in the third for his first hit.

Chicago Cubs 6, Cincinnati 1: Yu Darvish recovered from a shaky start to earn his first win with the Cubs, and Kyle Schwarber hit one of Chicago’s three home runs in a 6-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Schwarber launched a two-run drive, and Javier Baez and Ben Zobrist each had a solo shot to help the Cubs take three of four in the series. Darvish (1-3) went six innings and allowed only two hits, both in the first, during his eighth start since signing a $126 million, six-year contract with Chicago last offseason.

In his second outing since coming off the disabled list Tuesday, the four-time All-Star overcame a 39-pitch first inning and finished six for the third time this season. He allowed one run with three walks and seven strikeouts.

N.Y. Mets 4, Arizona 1: Amed Rosario hit his first two home runs of the season and pinch-hitter Asdrubal Cabrera connected for a go-ahead drive, leading Noah Syndergaard and the New York Mets over the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 Sunday for a surprising sweep.

San Francisco 9, Colorado 5: Brandon Belt snapped a seventh-inning tie with a three-run homer and the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 9-5.

American League

N.Y. Yankees 10, Kansas City 1: Tyler Austin hit a pair of two-run homers, Sonny Gray pitched eight innings of four-hit ball and the New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals 10-1 to win eight consecutive series for the first time since 1998.

Miguel Andujar and Austin Romine added back-to-back homers in the ninth for the Yankees, who have won 14 of their last 15 against the AL Central.

Boston 5, Baltimore 0: J.D. Martinez hit two vastly different drives for his first multihomer game with Boston, powering Eduardo Rodriguez and the Red Sox to a 5-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Martinez drove in three runs, and Andrew Benintendi had a two-run homer among his three hits as the Red Sox won three of four in the series to improve to 6-1 against Baltimore this season.

Signed to a $110 million, five-year deal as a free agent in February, the 30-year-old Martinez sliced his first homer an estimated 324 feet around the Pesky Pole in right field. He hammered his second to the deepest part of Fenway Park – projected at 443 feet over the center-field triangle for his 15th of the season.

L.A. Angeles 5, Tampa Bay 2: Shohei Ohtani struck out nine while throwing 7 2/3 innings of excellent six-hit ball in his seventh career start, and the Los Angeles Angels snapped their five-game skid with a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Los Angeles’ rookie two-way sensation had another strong outing in the longest start of his stateside career, limiting Tampa Bay to three baserunners in his first six innings. Ohtani (4-1) retired 12 straight Rays after yielding rookie Johnny Field’s homer leading off the third.

Chicago White Sox 3, Texas 0: Reynaldo Lopez allowed only two hits in a career-high eight innings and the Chicago White Sox beat the Texas Rangers 3-0 for their first home series win this season.

Oakland 9, Toronto 2: Daniel Mengden allowed two hits over seven shutout innings to win his second straight start and lead the Oakland Athletics over the Toronto Blue Jays 9-2 to complete a four-game sweep.

Seattle 3, Detroit 2: Mitch Haniger hit a tying two-run homer in the ninth inning and Jean Segura’s RBI single in the 11th gave the Seattle Mariners a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Minnesota 3, Milwaukee 1: Logan Morrison hit a two-run double to give the Minnesota Twins’ offense a much-needed lift, and four relievers worked 31/3 scoreless innings in a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
