Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey put on a show outside the team’s training facility. Ramsey arrived in an armored truck and exited the back doors as the driver announced into a megaphone “it’s time to get this money, money.”

Ramsey is entering the final year of his $23.3 million rookie contract. The Jaguars exercised the fifth-year option in the deal, meaning he’s tied to the club for $13.7 million in 2020.

The Jaguars expect the former Florida State standout to be a long-term piece of their defense. But they’re unwilling to give him an extension with two years remaining on his current contract and told him so earlier this year.

Still, Ramsey made it clear with his grand entrance that he expects to get handsomely paid.

The driver, dressed in all black and wearing an armored vest, pulled up near the front gate and introduced Ramsey.

“This man’s coverage is so good, he’s fixing to have his own cellphone service,” the driver said. “The man’s so good, they’re fixing to give him his own jail … because these receivers are on 24-hour lockdown. If you check his pocket, he’s got eight Master locks in his pocket. They’re on lockdown all season. The man, the myth, Jalen Ramsey.”

Jacksonville has a little more than $9 million in cap space available, but should be in better financial shape next year after getting rid of about $24 million in dead money already paid to quarterback Blake Bortles, defensive tackle Malik Jackson, safety Tashaun Gipson, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and others.

Lewan suspended: Taylor Lewan, Tennessee’s three-time Pro Bowl left tackle, says the NFL has suspended him for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancers.

Lewan announced his suspension Wednesday in a video he posted to Twitter.

The left tackle says he received a letter from the NFL a few weeks ago informing of his suspension. He says he has taken a polygraph test and had the supplements tested but knows he’s responsible under the league’s collective bargaining agreement for what goes into his body.

Lewan says he’s never taken anything that would cheat the game and apologized to the Titans before pausing about 10 seconds, wiping his eyes and saying this was hard. He also apologized to Titans fans, saying he has never knowingly taken a banned supplement.

The Titans made Lewan the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL with a new contract at the start of training camp a year ago.

Top Jets’ rookie remains unsigned: The New York Jets have reported for training camp without top draft pick Quinnen Williams, who remains unsigned.

The defensive lineman was the No. 3 overall selection in April out of Alabama. Williams is slotted to receive a four-year contract worth $32.6 million fully guaranteed, with a fifth-year team option. The sticking point appears to be the schedule of how Williams’ signing bonus – about $21.7 million – will be paid.

According to published reports, Williams would like to receive the entire sum by the end of the year, while the team is looking to defer some of it into next year.

The sides could still reach an agreement before the Jets hold their first camp practice Thursday. Coach Adam Gase downplayed Williams’ absence, saying it’s all part of the business.
