Jim and Brenda Moore of McMurray took the O-R on a driving trip across central the part of the country, stopping at the boyhood home of Meredith Wilson at “Music Man Square” in Mason City, Iowa. He was the creator of “Seventy Six Trombones.”

Neal and Nancy Isiminger took the O-R to Elkins, W.Va., for a rail ride on The Polar Express. They were joined by daughter and son-in-law Bethany and Todd Day and grandchildren Leo, Violet, Jacob and Simon. The other grandparents, Bob and Charlotte Day, Chris Carder, Bob Taylor and Babs Nightengale were on the ride as well.

Steve and Darlene Riker of Washington took the O-R to Alcatraz Island, on their trip to Seattle and San Francisco.

Cathy Kelvington of Washington took the O-R along to the Frysville Farms in Ephrata, where they have more than 80,000 poinsettias and 200 varieties.

Mike and Kathy Ward of Washington took the O-R along to Captiva Island, Fla., during their Christmas vacation.

Bev Imperatore of Canonsburg along with Doug Mann, Rose Caffrey and Cyndee Jablonowski took the O-R to Las Vegas and celebrated a Steelers win with Elvis.

Maria Magnotta of Washington took the O-R to Germany, where she visited the Berlin Wall.

Tina Rydzak of Houston and Eric Burr of Chicago took the O-R to the Suspension Bridge on a visit to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Franklin and Karen Sue Kuzy took the O-R to the tundra of Spitsbergen Island, the northern most inhabited place on the globe at around 715 miles north of the Norwegian Coast.
