The Amwell Township Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, will feature Jim Weinschenker speaking about the Waynesburg and Washington Railroad, which carried freight and passengers along 28 miles from the 1870s to the 1920s, although it didn’t officially go out of business until the 1930s. Meetings are held at the Amwell Township Municipal Building, 885 Amity Ridge Road.
