I have a lot of notes, wanted to let you know i’m working off two articles. Uncle paul was very much a part of our life, I was busy with my parents’ life. Artilce May 31 2001, I have a file on my  i am his great niece, ended up marrying a doctor and we lived in petsers, married for 30 years, we know there ws some money attached to uncle paul, this man came to america for the american dream. he came to america but was very frugal, . He was extremel y frugal, he and wife never had children, he and Jack Piatt ws supposed to be a business partner, he knew uncle paul was a miser, uncle paul thought there was going to be a hospital wit his money, it was supposed to replace where southpointe is, western psych, my father worked there. Uncle paul knew there were mental health issues in the family, this was the intention, some things went awry, in 1980s, in 1981, my aunt passed away, i received  aletter they wanted to give me $500to go be a doctor, his understanding of value and money. He would never sepnd money himself, gave frugally, i was sort of like, i sort of felt that he valued me and the famil t o do something. I was going to nursing school, wehn my ucncle got into his 80s, my youngest son was born, in 1995, my uncle found out he couldn’t access his money in a bank, he didn’t undesrtand guardianships, this gentleman ws trying to be his guardian. My uncle couldn’t access his money, and he immediately went crazy, my dad got him to go see an attorney. A lot of people in washington knowt he story. He was influenced into making decisions that were, strange. Literally my dad got him to an attorney to make it so his wishes were granted with whatever he wanted to do with his money, never built the hosptial, divvied up money with people who came to america with him. His dream was actaully to embrace other family members. The thought and concept of building seomthign.

He went down hill from there, we had him to family dinners, he walked over washington, wore a fedor, 5 foot 2, five foot 3, pasta dinners every sunday, that’s what he loved. His wife, sjospehine is the blood rleative of the family. He was a part of the family, all my kids 102 years

I’m going to check with brothers about when he came to america, i can’t remember if he met my aunt in america or if he knew her in italy.

Everybody comes to america for the american dream, he ws a millionaire, we didn’t know. He saved his life earnings, his wife, aunt joepheine, invested money, he was always around us. We had a 100 year birthday at my house in Peters and my dad had one at the Senior Center, Washington Senior Center, he wouldn’t pay 50 cents .

Put some fun things in her. We remember him eating here together, he’d come to chuck e cheese parties. . When Jack piatt died. His literal intentions were to build the hospital, the memorial he put in up town, the memorial is in memory of his wife, but reconginzes the vetersof Korea and Vietnam. I have pic of him in the military when he was in italy. The other hting i was thinking was he just embraced what was available, he loved to go to washignton mall, hed walk to wash mall from west chestnut st., and sepnd time and then he’d go home. he was a bit of a owmanizer, every time we had gatherings, he’d go next to one of my brother’s wifes, . I have a lot in my story. I don’t know how to go about. Possible busines venterure with Tehre was some foul play, some dishonest intentions. I just down’t now.

Centenairan Paul Manese was a veteran of WWi, I have this in here, this is from it says THe did not want to leave his house on chestnut st., the house was a disaster, he should ahve ben wearing idapers, It has he was born May 23, 1898 in levino italy, was a shoe maker and machinist, member of immaculate Medal churhc, served in italian army, May 13, 2001, other article was May 31, Dont’ know when he cam eot the united states. Finding out. when did he marry aunt josephine. He was devoted to his wife, he put memorial up there, she helped him because he really with all the connections with money they were immigrants from italy. My whole thing is, one of the last things i put in here was, he was proud of his servie, when he had to get an attorney for this occurrence, somebody defendin jack said  Washington Courthouse is teh monument. Greco household in Mill ST., house has been in family for more than 100 years, pic of uncle pual. He was a very sensitive, my uncle paul had a sensitive heart, he knew pain and watched suffering with his wife, nieces and nephes, and from his epxdirence during the war and ws determined to create his vision. I just wanted to make sure that people know that monument HIs svision is i’m not going to be remembered for opening the hospital, that monument is going to have to be his legcy, to recognize twhat military people sacrifice in this. When i think of Uncle Paul, sacrifice for vertarns, had aspirations of doing more, his success waas him being a millionaire. He, his, he put his heart into creating the monument, i was going to have flowers placed on there for veterans day, you have to get approval to put something there. Trying to figure out how to do this. Think about all that’s going on in the world, or someone in the military or people dealing with emtnal health, they need to now these people who were here to keep themselves going.I don’t ever rmember uncle paul being sad.
