Tyler Richmond filled up the statistics sheet, leading Carmichaels to a 48-14 win over Bentworth in the Class A Tri-County South Conference on Friday night.

The Mikes (4-2, 6-3) clinched a playoff berth with the victory and Richmond played a large part in the outcome. He scored four touchdowns, one rushing and three receiving. He had a nine-yard TD run in the first quarter and caught scoring passes of 20, 30 and 65 yards from Alec Anderson.

Richmond had seven receptions for 278 yards and rushed 11 times for an additional 88 yards.

Peyton Schooley had TD runs of seven and 36 yards int he fourth quarter for Carmichaels, and Anderson had a 24-yard scoring pass to Brandon Yakel. Anderson completed 16 of 23 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns.

Bentworth (0-6, 2-7) did all of its scoring in the first half on a 23-yard pass from Vitali Daniels to Christopher Harper and an 80-yard kickoff return by Benjamin Hays.

California 43, Beth-Center 14

Zack Geletei ran for three touchdowns and California dominated the second half as the Trojans clinched a playoff berth with a 43-14 win over Beth-Center in the Class A Tri-County South Conference.

California (4-2, 7-2) led by only 15-14 in the second quarter before scoring the game’s final 28 points. Aiden Lowden’s 36-yard touchdown reception in the final minute of the first half gave California the momentum.

Geletei scored on runs of 17, three and 15 yards. he finished with 68 yards on 12 carries. Spencer Petrucci led the Trojans’ ground game with 87 yards on 15 attempts.

Jake Layhue had a TD run and pass, and Addison Panepinto capped the scoring with a four-yard jaunt.

Jonah Sussan had a three-yard scoring run and Tyler Debnar scampered in from 10 yards for Beth-Center (2-4, 3-6).

McGuffey 28, South Park 6

Quarterback Phillip McCuen ran for one score and threw for two others to help McGuffey stop South Park, 28-6, in a non- conference game.

The win raises McGuffey’s record to 6-3 while South Park fell to 4-5

McCuen threw a 14-yard scoring pass to Ethan Dietrich to open the scoring and broke off a 79-yard scanper to close the scoring.

In between, Eric Donnelly bulled over from one-yard out and McCuen found Tristan McAdoo on a 35-yard strike.

AJ D’Agosta scored for South Park on a 78-yard kickoff return at the end of the first half.

Burgettstown 45, Avella 14

Brodie Kuzior scored four touchdowns to help Burgettstown roll to a 45-14 victory over Avella in a Class A Tri-County South game.

The wins moves Burgettstown to 5-1 in the conference and Avella fell to 1-5 in the conference and 1-8 overall.

Kuzior scored on two runs and caught two TD passes for Burgettstown. Caleb Russell scored twice, on a pair of runs.

Cole Jaworowski threw two touchdown passes for Avella.

West Greene 32, Jefferson-Morgan 22

Colin Brady ran for 194 yards on 20 carries as West Greene upended Jefferson-Morgan, 32-22, in a Class A Tri-County South Conference game.

The win moves West Greene to 3-3 in the conference and 4-5 overall. Jefferson-Morgan fell to 1-5 in the conference and 1-8 overall.

Brady scored on runs of 9, 41 and 59 yards for the Pioneers. John Lampe scored on a 1-yard run and Kevin Thompson kicked a 22-yard field goal.

Collin Bisceglia caught a 53-yard pass from Cole Jones to open the scoring. He would score from 1 yard out later for Jefferson-Morgan. Ewing Jamison caught a 27-yard TD pass from Jones, who finished with six completions of 20 attempts for 174 yards. Johnny Gilbert ran for 95 yards on 21 carries for J-M.

Belle Vernon 48, Southmoreland 0

Jake Gedekoh ran for two scores in the first half and Belle Vernon received touchdowns from six different players in a 48-0 rout of Southmoreland in the Class 3A Interstate Conference.

Belle Vernon (4-0, 6-2) will face undefeated Elizabeth Forward next Friday for the conference championship.

Gedekoh scored on runs of 22 and 10 yards in the first half, which ended with the Leopards leading 25-0. Gedekoh ran for 109 yards on eight carries.

Quinton Martin scored on a 17-yard run, Braden Laux had a one-yard TD plunge and Kole Doppleheuer had a two-yard scoring jaunt. Martin rushed for 99 yards on eight carries.

Alonzo Wade caught a 15-yard TD pass from Tanner Steeber and Laux hooked up with Chase Rukonen for a 53-yard score.

Cornell 52, Chartiers-Houston 7

Raequan Troutman ran for four first-half touchdowns, powering Cornell to a 52-7 win over Chartiers-Houston in the Class A Black Hills Conference.

Cornell (3-3, 4-4) forged a 40-7 halftime lead as Troutman scored on runs of 48, one, 23 and 60 yards. He rushed for 151 yards on 11 carries in the first half.

Chartiers-Houston (1-5, 4-5) scored its lone touchdown on a 24-yard run by Jessie Orbin in the second quarter that cut Cornell’s lead to 20-7.

Trinity game canceled

The non-conference game scheduled for Friday night between Trinity and Carrick at Hiller Field was canceled.

Carrick informed Trinity officials that it would not play because it did not have enough healthy players to safely play the game.

Trinity attempted to find an opponent to replace Carrick but could not schedule a game on short notice.

In other games

Laurel Highlands pulled away in the second half to beat Ringgold 41-14 in the Class 4A Big Seven Conference.

Brentwood was a 34-14 winner at Charleroi in the Class 2A Century Conference while conference champion Sto-Rox rolled to a 50-7 victory over visiting Waynesburg.

Fort Cherry clinched a Class A playoff berth out of the Black Hills Conference with a 42-14 thumping of visiting Carlynton.
