Thanks for the story suggestions for the “Made In” series. To recap, we will launch series on Monday, June 5, and depending on feedback/response, will continue through August.

I am setting two deadlines, May 15 and May 30. Please meet the deadlines, as the goal is for Jen and I to have the stories edited and ready to drop in as summer progresses.

Getting the stories done in advance also allows us to give more attention to presentation on both the website and in print.

It would be ideal if you could visit the company you are profiling to get photos and to also capture some color for the story. With that, please make contact ASAP to arrange for in-person interviews/visits, since that might take a little longer to arrange or get necessary clearance. If it’s not practical, or there are problems, let me know.

I will send a follow-up email later with the dates of publication.

There is also a section for this series, too: series/made_in for the Observer-Reporter and news/made_in on the Herald-Standard side.

Another note about sections on the website: on the Observer-Reporter, please add news/local_news to your stories. Please don’t use just news on its own. news/local_news includes news, but if you have just the news section, it messes with the URL. I hope that makes sense! If not, please let me know.
