PL we’re trying to get it in our county, what it is, they wear a small transmitter size of a writs watch that emits a tracking signal, Alzheimer’s autism, who have tendency to wander or elope, if they go missing, they notify 911, 911 notifies us, we deploy y tracking equipment to find the person .

They’ve had an hour under most of them, national autism society.org, the search times they have is high, when they elope, especially autism they go toward bodies of water, drowning suffocation, heat or cold, the quicker we get them the better chances they have of survival.

if they elope and ardent’ found quickly, it increases chances of being fatal.

Costs money, police, fire, dogs, drones, all these agencies trying to locate individual. if person is a risk for elomepemnt, they come in for a band and we add them to registry, we deploy.

We don’t have it, sheriff’s department is adamantly trying to get this up and running, it came to my attention when I attended an Austin training, talked with Tony andirons, he said we have to get it in our county. Last year we put efforst .

$7,150 collected, so far we got $5,000 from Range and the hospital is donating $2,100, Washington financial gave $500, couple fundraising things from Canton Carnival Sheriff Night’s Out, autism open we partnered with them so they’re doing a golf outing, some of the money will be allocated to Washington County.

We partnered with them for obvious reasons it affects their community, we’re looking for any donations, we partnered with Canton Fire, Finleyville fire, lot of first responder teams are pitching in, it affects all of us,

So the startup fee is $4,500 for 2 transmitters, training for officers and 2 bands, the bands are $300 after that, we’re trying to raise enough money so when people come and say we need one, our goal is about $10,000, $ we have $7,600

There’s not statistics on how many have autism, down, Alzheimer’s We’re trying to accommodate for those who can’t afford the band, we want to have the ability to provide that technology. In this category it would be autism, dementia, downs, veterans with PTSD, group homes don’t apply and people who can operate motor vehicles.

If interested in donating, contact sheriff’s office, come to Canton Carnival Sheriff night out and autism golf outing.

I’ll re-send pic from range.
