A mutual friend introduced Kristina Zacour, now 26, and Ryan Utchel, 27, in the summer of 2010. They may have been young at the time, but when you make a lasting connection, you just know. Ryan, a driller with Terra Testing, proposed on the beach by the water while the pair were on vacation in Virginia, and planning began for their Oct. 3, 2015, nuptials – the perfect fit for an elegant fall theme reception at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Meadow Lands.
“We used various sizes of pumpkins with glitter, cream-colored lanterns and candelabras for the centerpieces, and sunflowers and red gerber daisies,” Kristina says.
“It’s hard to pinpoint my favorite part of the day because it honestly turned out to be completely amazing. I was not only able to celebrate with all of my loved ones and friends, but I truly married my best friend that day.”
The couple honeymooned in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, prior to the wedding since Heather is a school social worker for Intermediate Unit 1, and they now reside in Washington.
